So let me get this straight, Qantas are paying your airfare and I suppose other costs to travel to LHR to be interviewed for a position with the LHR base? What Australian cabin crew management couldnt make a decision on your suitability for the base?

Paris Flyer!

I'am so happy to hear that you have been offered to go to London to a Welcome Aboard session. Good luck to you and hopefully it will all work in your favour!

Actually to go to London is all at my own expence and even though I'll go to the Welcome Aboard thingy it doesn't gaurantee me the position so it is quiet a risk.
Thanks for the support Rollz.

Note my reply to the QF Contract post in same forum...

For those who dont want to go read it, here is the post in brief:

I got a call (im from Perth) and asked to attend a panel in Perth this Wednesday. Comment was also made about the amount of work they have on at the moment, hence the long delays in processing stuff. (And Perth comes last, as I am sure all of you people out there online can attest to!)

So this Wednesday I will hopefully know a little more about what the horizon is bringing.

Hello all!

I Interviewed in September in Perth, and was called this week for a panel interview related to that assesment day!

Went along, had a usual panel, conducted by 2 Qantas Cabin Crew, a CSM and a BFirst lady (both VERY nice)

End result is that we will be contacted end of January for further progression. They are filling a short list for Long Haul (usually 6 months on the short list)

Also asked if I was interested in being considered for MAM, explaining they dont usually recruit/ interview jointly... I noted that I already had.

So thats it... nothing of substance.
