Hi Guys,
The news only affects people who are proper "temps" as in from an agency.
The proposed new law means that after 6 weeks temping with a company they have the right to be made permenant subject to their performance etc.
So the employer can not just say bye bye after their "temp" contract ends and then employ anothe short term temp.
Cabin Crew contracts arent affected because we do not offically "temp", we are offered and sign a fixed term contract.
The articel was in the Daily Express today.

There is also new legislation for fixed term employees, where they are entitled to the same rights as permanent employees ie., leave, concessions and they must be paid the same starting salary with an incremental scale.
