QF to hire language speakers??

Hello all,

Hope everyone is well and happy. Came across a travel/tourism newsletter the other day and it was about QF flying to India very soon. Anyway, it went on to mention that QF will hire Hindi speaking F/As for these flights and they will be based in Sydney.

Has anyone else heard this? Was wondering if this will also include Mandarin speakers for the Shanghai flights soon?

Hopefully I've not just started some false rumour, but I promise I did see this in black and white!

Hi,

It is true that QF are hiring language speakers. They have conducted interviews for Manderin, Japanese and Cantonese speakers. The interviews are into their final round now.

I haven't as yet herd anything about hiring Indian speakers, maybe soon?

The only positions [language speakers or otherwise] being offered at longhaul in Sydney are 11 month contracts.

QF advise that you will be looking for another job on your contract's expiry.

are they looking for language speaker who has the right to live in Aus or qf intend to open up a based at the respected language speaker's country?

unlikely, i think QF are having enough trouble just with the London base let alone others!!!!
