personal entertainment!
I was recently flying back from a flight from Malaysia on an overnight flight when I noticed that the customer next to me was watching his own movie on his personal DVD player. As I had a quick glimpse at what he was entertaining himself with I noticed that it was rather XXXplicit! LOL - It didn't bother me LOL but do the cabin crew have to take any action if this occurs?

As Kimmy says " HELLO ! REVOLTING ! "
Red Rat this is a very good question, I have noticed on my flights that more and more pax are starting to purchase these mobile dvd players and use them on my flights. They are a great little device but I think I would be inclined as a flight attendant to ask the pax to perhaps change the movie if there are small children around or pax who appear to be uncomfortable. However, I then think that I would also be uncomfortable having to walk past every 5min and catch glimpses of his movie.
Save it for the bedroom buddy ! This is not hooters air !

The following is an excerpt of a post made by Flaps last February on the subject
"had something similar last night. A handsome, repectable looking man spent the whole flight watching some very nasty SM porn on his big-screen laptop. No problem for most of the flight since I was the only one serving in business class. But when the girls at the back were ready with the service and coming to the front for their meals I went over to the guy with another Heineken and had a quiet word. I don't think the FAs need to be subjected to that kinda stuff at work. So I asked him did he have anything less violent he could watch?
Like some plain old fashioned missionarying maybe?
He had the grace to blush.
And to put away his lap top."

tray tables down
If they were to keep entertaining themselves it might be advisable for the cabin crew to suggest they keep the tray tables down or offer a blanket/pillow. I offered the guy next to me a pillow from the overheads! LOL

SICKO! Thats all I have to say. I can not understand why this pax could not wait untill they have the privacy of their hotel room or home.
I am far from prudish, but on an aircraft it is unacceptable. I sure as know that I would not like to have to check seatbelts and find a one eyed trouser snake looking back at me!
Both crew and other pax should not have to witness this type of behaviour in the work place.
I would be offended and ask the pax to turn it off.
Hoping that they would obey my instructions, otherwise I would not know where we stand legally in regards to this type of going on's.
It's not like we can restrain the pax.......they may just enjoy it!
