Australian Airlines Benefits

I was just wondering, since AO is a subsidary of Qantas, do AO FA's get the same travel benefits as QF FA's, like do they get cheaper tickets on QF flights and vice versa??

Galleyhag,

I hope those comments regarding link chicks were made tounge in cheek...otherwise.....you are crusin for a brusin. If you would like to air your comments on link chicks in private with me I would be happy to discuss with you via private message.

Not all QFLINK chicks are off the street like you, many of us who post here - like myself are ex QF , yes that's right. I worked in various other positions for QF for quite sometime before becoming cabin crew, therefore you will find that I, like others who post on this board and are co-incidentally VERY qualified to comment on things that we probably do know more about than you.

Is this instance you are absoloutely correct regarding the staff travel benefits of AO. Well done.

I think but am not 100% sure that AO staff are permitted to take 2 trips per year at ID90 on QF and unlimited trips per year on AO.

Is that what GH meant?

Perhaps someone from AO can confirm this one.

Red Rat,

I am not sure what happened to the impulse website ? It doesn't seem to work for me either.

Sunnies and Eastern recruit regulary throughout the year- I don't have any info at present on what is going with recruitment with the link however you need to have your resume submitted online at www.cabincrew.staffcv.com to be selected for a group seminar interview with sunstate and eastern.

My best friend has been given an early Oct start date with AO in CNS so I'll be sure to pass on what info I can regarding AO also.

Good luck my friend.
cheers

After 6 months of employment, you get 2 trips, id90 on the Qantas Group network. AO QF QFLINK. Been with the company for a year and just used my second trip. I guess for me, the last thing i want to do on my days off is hope on a plane. I enjoy my time at home in CNS.
Hope that answers the question being asked.
