I attended the recruitment day in Brissy too. I have just received an email saying they are proceeding with calling my referees.

I have left messages for my referee. Does anyone have what sorts of questions they will ask?

She's always busy and doesn't have (whatever time) 1 hour to talk.

For all those who are waiting for QCCA assessment slots keep checking back. I picked up one two days ago but unfortunately now can't make it. Another two people I know have also picked up slots. Good luck and keep checking..

Hey guys for those who are applying for Melb base, keep looking for an available time slot. I literally tried to get a time slot as soon as I got the email & I could select my base (Sydney) however no dates were available. I missed out however kept trying everyday (even hourly) at times. One came up so I attended the AD for Sydney.
If you're applying for the Mel base & are awaiting a time slot - I'll tell you this now. You'll need to get a water test to ensure you can swim 50m unaided & tread water for 3 mins (so maybe just be wary that if you get the slot time then you'll need this filled out & completed before the AD). The water competency sheet comes in an email when you confirm a time slot.
Secondly, you'll need 2 copies of 2 forms of ID (drivers licence & passport for e.g). You'll also need a photo of you in full length business attire as well as 2 referees who will be called if you get through. If you have these ready in the hopes of getting a time slot then at least you won't be stressed closer to the AD (provided you get a slot time). I can't think of anything else you'll need atm. If anyone needs tips for the AD let me know!

Just wandering if anyone has attended the QCCA RD in Melbourne recently on Dec 10 Thursday I was at the 13:30pm session anyone there.?

I also wanted to ask any experts ex cabin crew etc when assessors are writing notes down is that a bad thing neutral thing or good thing. I have a good eyesight and i saw assessors always talking notes when I was speaking or contributing to a group to discussion but i was the quieter ones but still had something to say.

Whatever the outcome is I am happy as QCCA QF cabin crew are far better than VA/TT/JQ Here is what happened on my assessment day

Hey everyone I went to the Syd AD & received an email today saying that I was going through to referee checks (for those in Mel - it could take up to a week - like ours did).

Regarding hearing back from reference checks afterwards - they said that it could take a while as they are extremely busy.

Also did anyone else read the part about the fact that it doesn't mean we're successful however just progressing to the next stage? Then it says that QF won't be in a position to hire everyone.

I still not receive email. Anyone have any update? Syd base

Hey guys! Does anyone, from previous experience, know roughly how long it takes to hear after your references have been called? This wait is killinggggg me! Also, did they say at the AD they wanted to get Medicaid and security done before xmas? I swear they did! Hope we hear something soon!

I was at the Brisbane AD 30th Nov. My references have both been checked but I have not heard anything yet. I thought they said that they wanted to have the ref checks and the medicals done by Christmas too. The wait is getting to me too. I hope we will hear this week. I want this job so badly!!! 😀😀

Does anyone know that once you get to Reference Check stage that you can change your Referees prior to them checking?

Yes! In the email advising you that you are moving onto the reference check stage, it says to reply only if you need to change the details of your referees. You need to do it asap after receiving the email. Good luck! 😀
