JB88 1st Mar 2009 18:05

i got my letter about it this thursday just gone, how come? have you got that one to? xxx

JB88 5th Mar 2009 10:41

hey can anyone give me some advice about the training do you get put up in a hotel like some other training corses?
Also for he 6 month summer contract is it strictly short haul or will a little bit of long haul be thrown in.
Any advice would be great.
xx

pink_princess 5th Mar 2009 11:20

You don't get put in a hotel or anything, you have to make your own arrangements for accommodation. During the 6 months, you will only be on the short-haul aircraft but if you get put on the 757, you will have the opportunity to do little trips to the east coast of canada.

JB88 6th Mar 2009 15:14

hey thanx for all the advice given its been really helpfull.
Something else i wanted to ask was, Im going to be relocating so im closer to Gatwick becasue im currently living in Bournemouth can anyone please give me any info at all about ertain areas which may be good to look at, thanx would be a great help. xxxx

glider12000 7th Mar 2009 15:41

Depends what you budget is. Maidenbower, Pound Hill and Worth are fairly nice to live in. Some areas of Ifield are also nice.

Bewbush is called the Ghetto though...

JB88 7th Mar 2009 20:20

aww thanks for that info wil have a look soon, i just wanna be somewhere with good transport links cos I dont have a car at the moment so will be quite difficult me thinks, oh the stress of moving! lol xxxx

glider12000 9th Mar 2009 01:00

Crawley is well linked to Concorde House, Gatwick where you will need to get to. There are several 24 hour bus services, the train also runs from three bridges, crawley and Ifield stations to the airport and a taxi is about Ģ5-6

JB88 9th Mar 2009 15:52

you are actually a star thanx for all ur info really helped me out. xxx

Nav747 11th Mar 2009 18:32

JB88 27th Mar 2009 09:06

Hey i was wondering if anyone is starting their training for the summer season on monday?

Also does anyone know what the hours are like for training like how long and what time off you have because all i've been given is what time i start on my first day and nothing else.

Then the last thing, with the criminal records check it says i needed to have sent it off four weeks before my trianing date but they only sent me this letter last friday, I rang them and all they said was get it done as quickley as possible but do you think it will affect anything.

Sorry about the essay as you can see im getting worried. any help would be great thankyou xx

Thomas Cook recruitment Summer 2009

Hi,

I have applied for Cabin Crew Gatwick for summer 2009 and although the closing date was April 23rd I havenīt heard a word yet. Just wondering if anyone else have heard back...

sammy121 4th May 2009 14:56

Hi, I would think you have missed interviews but dont take my word for it, give them a ring. I am on the next training course 25th May at Gatwick. Dont think they will do any more for this summer, but like I said, give them a ring, things change in this industry every week.

roster pattern

Hi Everybody,

Hoping somebody might be able to shed some light on what a typical monthly roster pattern might look like for the LGW base. In particular it would be great to know how duty days are blocked together vs days off as well as whether you are rostered for day trips or whether you do actual tours of duty with overnights.

Thanks heaps for anything you might be able to tell me.

Hi everyone. Congrat to those who got the job with Thomas Cook.
I'm thinking to go for my interview which is in LGW on the 21st Nov.

Do you know if this is seasonal contact or permanent?
I'm in the full time position with different airline and don't want to risk my job... I know you first need to get the job but anyway

SeatbeltsFastened 11th Nov 2009 17:34

All positions are seasonal temp contracts for summer 2010.

ndorka 11th Nov 2009 19:31

Are you sure. When I applied they said it was full time permament? If so then no thanx
