Does anyone know how long it typically takes to go part-time with VS and what a typical part-time monthly roster and pay packet might consist of? Cheers.

Part Time

It is my understanding that it is really hard to go part time unless you have children. Then I'm pretty sure you are offered the choice of either 50 or 70%. I think they fly around 2-4 trips a month. Not sure on the pay though, may be best to post this in the main Virgin Forum.
Good Luck

Assessment Centre

Hey i applied to Virgin yesterday at 4pm and by 10pm i had an email inviting me to interview this thursday! Anyone else goin on thurs and staying in a hotel on weds? I've also heard that its no longer a 2-2-1 interview its just a 1-2-1 and everyone gets to the interview stage now instead of the unsuccessful people being sent home earlier on? Anyone been there recently?

BOM Crew

Hi Riche

From what I understand your training would be with other successful candidates from India here in the UK. If there are not sufficient positions to warrant a whole course for you guys then you would join a course of UK based new starters. You most certainly would not be alone though. There would be others from your country too.

To get to work in Upper Class depends on how may Senior Cabin Crew are required. I would hazard a guess that it could happen after 18 months to 2 years. Promotion is performance related as every flight you are assessed by your relevant CSS onboard.

I hope that helps and good luck.:)

Virgin Cabin Crew Application HELP!!

Hi I'm new to this forum and really looking to become Cabin Crew. I previously applied to Virgin 6 months ago and have got an application form yet again and i'm really looking for advice what to put under the Customer service question:

Please tell us briefly about a time when you were working in a customer facing role and you believe you provided an exceptional level of customer service.

As I'm sure this is one of the most important questions and wondered if anyone could give any tips or advice on what they are looking for?

Thanks...

Jim.

student88 25th Jun 2008 19:47

Hi Jim,

Bit of a late reply but there are five things they are looking for.
  1. What happened
  2. How you dealt with it - what made it exceptional?
  3. What you learnt
  4. What you would do differently next time
  5. The pro's and con's of how you dealt with it
This should really cover most of what they're looking for.

My daughter is considering CC.

Are Virgin recruiting soon for the UK?

I Just Want To Fly 30th Jun 2008 00:44

Applications are currently being accepted on the website. Recruitment has slowed slightly due to some internal restructuring, however is still ongoing.

I often have a little chuckle when parents ask these kinds of things on behalf of their kids.

A little help

I would like to re-apply for VS cabin crew (my previous apllication was rejected twice) and would like some help:

1. what customer service do they look for?
I have experience in lots of cust based roles, including ground agent for American Airlines at heathrow, and thought my answers to the questions were suitable for their ethos (but still true), but they still did not invite me to an assesment.
Im just wondering if im doing something wrong?

All help appriciated!

virgin cabin crew

Hi guys,

just wondered if anybody has any idear when virgin will start recuriting again?

many thanks susie

dy1ng_to_fly 3rd Nov 2008 00:54

Hi Susie,

If you mean Virgin Blue, they've just done 3 days of recruiting in Melbourne last week (one day which I attended). We were also told that they'd done Brisbane and Sydney the prevoius week.

On the recruitment site (through virginblue.com.au), it says that they're currently recruiting for Sydney base, and also taking expressions of interest.

Hope this helps a bit x

Have just looked at your previous posts & seen that you're in the UK, so guessing you mean Virgin Atlantic.

Ignore my last post then! :)
