Hiya all! I was wondering if anyone could please send me some information regarding Kalair? They are recruiting in Sydney in November and I would like to get some background stuff before I go throwing myself at their feet for a job. It doesn't sound that wonderful from what I have gathered off this thread. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

I fail to see the problem with text speak - tightslot. It is a public forum, not one run by you. Show me where in the terms and conditions where it states that you can't use text speak................ as you seem to be the only moderator who has a problem with it

Text speak

I have to agree with TightSlot, itīs probably my age but I have difficulty understanding text speak and I am a native english speaker. Even my children respect my thoughts about it and do not use it when texting me.

Kalair

Just to advise you that the Kalair job is always only for one month. They have been giving one month "trials" for years. Dont expect to get a full time job from it. Saying that, you get treated well and very well paid for the month.

Private Jet Cabin Crew training courses

We need to find a company to provide training for our cabin crew on our Falcon 50 aircraft.
Can anyone point us in the direction of a good training organisation (preferably in the UK) that will cover such items as Safety, First Aid, and food preperation and service -"tricks of the trade" which is specifically aimed at small business jets?
Many thanks.

Global jet

Hi
Does anyone knows the contact e-mail or address for Global jet in the UK?
And in which airport they are based?

so am i right in thinking that if i applied for the above job, VVIP one month flying, and got it, I'd only wotk for one month, get paid then never work again?

VIP Kaliair interviews

Does anyone know eher they hold their interviews in London? They're interviewing all this week and I'm about to submit my \cv to aviationjobsearch.com link for their job application. I've never heard about them before but if the pay's good and it's a one month on one month off etc then it sounds good to me. Any other info would be much appreciated, theother threads seem vague about it.

pinkus 11th Nov 2007 22:12

I was given invited for an interview with this outfit a little while back.
I decided not to go because after asking around ( and also searching pprune) I heard that apparently they are quite notorious for offering every one a one month trial then never giving the job. Apparently the owner of the airline likes to see new faces and this is a rather cheeky way of doing it.

hawaiianhosty 12th Nov 2007 08:19

yeah it seems cheeky but also, why pay for all the training, as surely they'd need to train SEP, location, first Aid etc to new recruits, give them a uniform then fly for a month then do it all again with new people..what a waste of time and money.

GlobalJet

Hi there,

GlobalJet does not have bases for Cabin Crew, other that their headquarters in Geneva, but you can request to be based basically anywhere you like. My guess is that any London airport will do.
You can find their contact information on their website www.globaljetconcept.com. Their recruitment center is in Geneva though, so if you get an interview you d have to fly down there.
Hope this helps.
All the best.

For the one month trial there is no training. you are expected to be already trained by whoever you work for.
Whilst on the one month trial basis you wear your own suit as uniform.
The pay is excellent if you don't mind the 'oggling' from the pax and if you can fit the one month into your schedule.... 'cause that'a all you will work - ONE MONTH! Then it's maa'salama (goodbye)
You are there just for a new face to be seen in the cabin. That takes the boredom from the pax of looking continuously at the crew who are there permanently,
Would not even waste my time unless you are off work and have the free time.
