I'm a newbie on this thread. Is there anyone who can run through the process and time frames on how long it takes from the initial application to actually flying. I submitted my application on 4 October 2022, then completed an online chat interview with 5 questions on 14 October 2022. Now waiting for the next step. Amazing! We are in!!! So happy we are all set to go. Yes mine GS is 6 weeks Abu Dhabi and 2 Sydney. They call me once, no change for now. Just waiting on contract. 😊

my first attempt got responded pretty quick 1 day after submitted the online interview, I got the invite for AD.

After applying did everyone have to do a written questionnaire or online chat interview? a few friends got the written questionnaire but it seems they are doing online chat interviews instead now

Hey! Everyone is different and I believe it has to do with how high you score as an applicant at each stage in the process. For me, I applied in March, did the questionnaire in May, didn't hear anything until September which is when I was invited to and attended my assessment day, submitted my references and ASIC application 2 days after AD, now this week I've been asked for my certificates and am doing my medical in 3 days. So this is month 7 for me! But I know at least 7 of my old coworkers who applied in January started their ground schools this month. 3 others I know applied in May and got through to the next steps months before me and are now waiting for the golden call. Some people are fast-tracked and others are not so my advice is to go with the flow since it's a bit unpredictable : D

Well, it's a mixture. In the online chat you are asked questions that you write the answers to.
