Driver licence

Hi guys. Im glad i found this site.

Does anybody get the invitation to join Tiger Airways Cabin Crew Assessment day on next Thursday 24th jan 2013? And does it really matter that having driving licence is a must? I don't have it. Should i have it a try or not? I am sure i can be on time even though i can't drive.

Don't worry. Drivers licence is not a necessity. Good luck

I had a phone interview with Tiger Air today and the lovely lady on the phone said that even though she wasn;t meant to tell me, she will put me forward for the assessment day in 2 weeks so I can organise flights! How lovely. Anyway, this will be my 4th assessment day. If anyone is here who has been to one, is there anything different about the day I can expect?

@Blueeyecabincrew
Are you going for the MEL base, and if so did you get the email today for the AD on the 16th of October?

@Ruph76 you can find the link for the TT EBA under the 'Tigerair - Brisbane Base' thread in this forum. It will outline all pay and working conditions

From memory base is around 35500.00AUD, then you've got meal allowance, in-flight sales and flight pay too I think

Tiger air/Altara casual

Hello everybody!
I applied for a tiger air casual cabin crew position through altara(Melbourne based), and was called on Thursday afternoon for a phone interview. On the job add, it states the assessment day was to be held this Thursday at tullamarine. I have not heard back yet as to wether I progressed to the AD, and would like to know if anyone out there has been invited as yet.
Also, does anyone have an understanding of what the min/max hours are like for casual crew members? And how long would you be working for Altara, before being considered for a permanent full/part time position?
Many many thanks in advance, and best of luck to you all!

I've looked at the EBA but need someone just to confirm that if I fly the max hours a month the pay is still only around 50 thousand a year before tax?

That would work out to $800 take home a week. That's not very much money for a very demanding job.

Aussie1234

Ground school normally takes 4weeks. Where? Depends on which base you apply for. For Sydney base, you do all training in Sydney then you do cabin trainings, swimming test in Melbourne. If you apply for Melbourne base, then your ground school training will be in Melbourne.

hi guys

i have my AD with tiger in 2 weeks for their Melbourne based job. My question is i have a beard which is very short and very well presented; hair length is probably 1-2mm in length. I was wondering if going to the AD with my beard would be a problem. any help is appreciated
