Working for Aussie aitkines(jetstar)
Hi guys.
Iam planning on returning to Melbourne to live in 12 months time, and want to keep my flying career going(currently a cabin manager for easyJet).
How hard is it to get into Jetstar in Australia, what is the usual waiting time for hearing about applictions(should I apply prior to leaving the UK).
What's the starting salary?
Any info would be appreciated.

jq interview
hey an update from recruiters, just came back from altara interview, said will check refs within few days and will have answer within ten.
also they said there r e few full time positions avail and some ppl might go directly to full time.
and negotiations r underway to give altara casuals travel benifits.
also casuals r most likely to be returning home and not get much night stops and.... are only domestic

In regards to the training questions above...
Yes accom and flights to Melb are fully paid for - I believe you will be staying at the Holiday Inn.
Also believe at the end of training you will receive a $1000 'bonus'.
Good luck all

Hey!
Has anyone who attended the recent recruitment days in Sydney with Altara/Jetstar heard back as yet? My references were checked 2 weeks ago and I received a call telling me to get my RSA and First Aid Cert last week and now just waiting. Anyone heard if they are def doing the April GS that was mentioned at the AD?

overnights
Hi
I was hoping somebody who is employed as Altara Casual FA can clear up some information regarding rooster.
I read from previous posts that we can choose whether we want or don't want to do overnight trips and also choose the preferred working days. It seems very very flexible.
Thank you for any info regarding overnights, hours, trip swapping, days off, etc.

Yes, you can choose whether you want to do overnights or not.
I have about 3 unscheduled overnights per month...so they call me to go when they need people to go to other bases instead of it being rostered.
I'm employed by Altara.
