Next steps for Syd Domestic
Hi Ya'll
Just wondering if anyone that attended the Syd AD (domestic) at the end of Febuary has heard anything about a medical yet?
My references were checked a week ago and just wanted to make sure i'm at the same stage of the waiting game as everyone else.

Suitcase
I know this will prob. be discussed at GS but if anyone can help me prior it would be great.
But if there are any Long Haul people out there who can advise me on what size suitcase we needs for our check in.
I know it has to be black. Does it have to be hard shell?
Is 67cm too big?
Just looking around at some specials currently on and need some advice on what is acceptable and ok and what people have currently.
Looking at a samsonite B lite.
Cheers.

I know I work for a different airline, but you don't see many soft cases, I started with one and it only lasted a few months, although I had a ****ty brand, not a Samsonite. I've got a little Delsey now. I started off with a huge bag, but found I never filled it, and it's so annoying when all your clothes fall to the bottom. Alot of crew pack their own pillows to get around this problem.
Now I only do 3/4 day trips I hardly ever bring a checked bag. Don't forget everything's a lot cheaper in LA too, including Samsonites
Congratulations!
Oh, and my first bag was 87cm, which seems about what other crew have, now I have a 67cm... perfect for me, but I'm not a big shopper!

wow 87cm thats big! i thought the 67cm would be big. but sounds about right, didnt know if it was too big for crew check in luggage, as i was told a 'small suitcase' but who knows, hopefully someone else posts and i get a rough idea.
yeah i know everything is cheaper in the states. i found a good samsonite that is VERY light and durable, and at a good price. ive travelled A LOT and on flights all the time/holidays, and never had problems with duffle bags when ive been travelling so im sure a good samsonite will do me for a little bit.
i shall have a look around

pinkfeather13
hey pinkfeather13 - what time were you there? I did mine yesterday as well, and don't worry I also struggled with a few things... not everyone is gym conditioned and was ready for what we had to do... i'm even slightly sore today! LOL
in the end we won't be doing a gym routine on the aircraft, and u will naturally build up strength whilst the job becomes habit.
I haven't got a call yet but I hopefully everyone gets through!
Good Luck!

Confirmation Email
Hi all!
I was invited to a Brisbane AD for today (2 days notice) and in my excitement didn't see in the email they sent me that I would be sent a confirmation email once I had booked in for my group. I haven't received anything as yet and am now panicking as the AD is in about five hours! I emailed them yesterday but haven't heard anything back yet. I have the printout saying I have booked in for the session I want and under my profile it says 'Assessment Day Invite Accepted'. Even though I haven't received a confirmation email as such, should I assume that all is well and I'm not going to get turned away at the door?
Thanks everyone

Yo be fine.
As its close to the AD when you got the email maybe that's why you didn't get a confirmation. The confirmation just has forms and your time, but the have that there.
Of you booked in and it says on your online status it's all good, you'll be fine!
Definitely go.
