Okay so I've answered my own question, yes it's multiple choice, very weird!! Don't feel 100% confident with how it went but I did finish it within the timeframe so hoping that's a good sign!

Smile Thanks for your info

Hi. I attended the Sydney Assessment day last Wednesday 23rd May and found the recruitment assessors to be extremely friendly and not all all intimidating. They come across to be very caring and make you feel like the only person there. I couldn't of been more comfortable. They were so lovely!!!

I was successful in receiving an email and further, an invitation to complete the online assessment. Can anyone advise me as to approximately how long it is before I should expect to hear any further details or results to my online assessment. Anyone who is interested in knowing how the online assessment is, I can tell you that it is something you cannot study for. I found it to be more common sense than anything else. I did manage to finish within the time frame luckily however, I do have to say that you need to read each and every question and really think of the answers you tick. It is multiple choice and it is extremely tricky.

I think that if you are a person who manages time well and work well under pressure, you will do really well in answering all questions successfully. I did find the test quite easy and hope that my results will be enough to send me through to the next level of recruitment. Anyone else in the same position as I????????

Hey there Kimmi075. I had my assessment day on 24th May and did the online assessment 2 days ago. I'm exactly on the same boat as you, I'm not sure when they'll get back to us regarding the next procedure. Just keeping my fingers crossed. Do you know what the pass mark is on that online assessment?

Cheers.

VIRGIN AUSTRALIA CABIN CREW WANNABE! Est 01/2012 .. still waiting

Hi all,

New to this forum. Happy .. more relieved to see most of you are still waiting, as I am to hear back VA (if we haven't waited enough). I applied for International Cabin Crew (Sydney base) in January, I was invited to the Group Assessment in March, completed the Online Test in April and it is now July and I still haven't heard back?! I see some recent posts of second round interviews and I also see VA is recruiting Sydney Domestic CC? Can anyone care to shed some light or even just let me know if you're in the same boat as me? Thank you.

j.ka as a trainee the total annual salary is $32,490 and after that you're on level 1 pay which is $38,075 (this includes the grooming and uniform allowance and miscellaneous expense allowance). For overnights you also receive $108 allowance in addition to your salary.

VA has PBS which is preferential bidding system for rosters - so you put in what you'd like and then the system builds a roster based on your preferences etc. Hope that helps and good luck!

PPRuNe and specifically this Forum are NOT, repeat NOT Social Networks (Facebook IS an example of a social network, as are MySpace and Google Plus+).

PPRuNe is intended for use by Airline employees seeking to exchange useful information and this forum exists for Wannabes to do the same.

PPRuNe is NOT intended for the exchange of excited chatter, expressions of goodwill and hope, messages about Private Messages or any of the other rubbish that has recently been polluting these threads.

These threads are a source of valuable information to those applying for jobs: Forcing others to have to wade through pointless and idle chatter relevant to only those involved to get at the necessary information is unfair, and a selfish act by those involved and will result in immediate sanctions being taken.
