withdrawal email
Hi Emirates39,
My DOJ was Feb 20th and just after sending my medicals last week I recieved the withdrawal email instead. Im still coming to the terms tha only a month ago I had so much to look forward to yet now its all disapreared. I hope you can tell me if you know if you think they will contact us again and consider that we had sent our medicals already.
Im really confused with what is going on now as I had prerpared myself to leave. Do you think they will still call us in near future with a new DOJ?

Hi flyboi, so does this mean that from the email of withdrawal we got even thought we signed a contract and everythiing and sending medicals our job offer isnt even valid and wont even be working for them in near future and have to reapply again??

But in the email it says "
Please note that we will seek to re-contact you when we have our next course start dates confirmed to determine if you are still interested in being considered again for a career as a Cabin Crew team member in our airline."
DOes this mean I will still be working with them soon? and just change my DOJ?

If you wanna die early due to stress and fatigue...Fly emirates..join the cabin crew fleet..If you can tolerate lack of sleep for several days,serve smelly passengers,clean the toilets w/ the puke,pee,poop,etc. ENJOY flying until you last...

My DOJ was originally January 30 and was changed to February 20 and now I received an email telling me to quit my job and that I will be joining March 27 and working on the Airbus A380. Is anyone in the same or similar position? and has anyone who recieved the withdrawl email been previously notified to quit their job or had simply received a DOJ and sent in medicals?

ok, WTF??? are we all crazy or what??? how come we all got canceled due to a finance crisis BUT there are some people who, as we speak, are getting 'quit your job, you are coming in march' e-mail???

^who knows? I don't think there is much reason to the way they are doing things, well at least from our perspectives (with very limited information). I think we would be wasting our time trying to understand how they are coming to their decisions, I tried and it got far too confusing! At least it gives us a little hope that they may contact us soon too!

Congrats! thats great!...so whats going on is that their still running the training?? Are we who had DOJ still going to be contaceted or not? This is so frustrating I really wish I knew what they are planning and hoping its very soon unless they only wrote that to get us off their backs because obvioulsy some people are still going through

and the people that are still flying out in feb march- must have handed all medicals in long before myself and others who got withdrawel email!

I actually feel like kicking myself...if they really had a cut-off as u are assuming..
I had all the necessary time to complete all my medicals but was put off bcos of some
test ( a real minor thingie) that the doc insisted i got to do...so it took almost 20 days for me..( i was given the good news on Dec 30th)
I'm so pissed..

TOday was when I was meant to start 
I knew since dec 17th!!! I handed my medicals on the 9th FEb only because the email wouldnt go through...
Im so pissed as I had sent my medicals before the withdrawal email !!!

this kind of PR-stuff was discussed on page 72.
in this thread it is discussed by pilots and other ppl:

here you can find a very interesting comment about the decreasing number of passangers on western routes for example (and on several crew's blogs you can read 2/3 full flights or LHR-flights with 30(!) pax on economy)...
but okey, let's say this crisis is for now and the forthcoming months. this press release goes until March 2010 - time will tell.

After emailing Emirates I was told that they will keep me informed regarding the situation and new start dates when they are available!
Regarding my medicals- they said depending on how long the new start dates will be- i will need to retake some of the medicals again; such as blood tests! but guess not all of them!
hope his gives some hope out!
