97robem unlike the airlines you have just mentioned, BACityflyer is owned by British Airways and so it could be looked on as safe from the economic factors in the airline world at the moment . BUT well, its a subsidary and so it is always open to the whims and ideas of Mainline management . google some names like Brymon, Bral, Bar,Citiexpress BAconnect and that will give you some idea of where the mark 2 Cityflyer emerged from, and the recent history of the company. My personal opinion is that Cityflyer has a role to play in the BA setup wether it is as a subsidary or incorporated more into the mainline setup, but who knows? One things for sure its never a dull moment with them!

well you got the name of the airline wrong and you cant spell please, has that helped? If you are talking about BAcityflyer then as main crew your take home would be somewhere between £1100 to £1500 per month once finished training and the trips start showing in your wages, if you are refering to Cityjet then cant help.

You might find that in general, just have to be patient, it was nearly 3 weeks between the "your contract etc will be sent tomorrow" and it actually being received.....fingers crossed the wait is worth it!

Heard a rumour there will be another course in November - no idea if this rumour has any substance, where it will be, or anything - as I said it is only a rumour.

It is nice to see that BACX keeps the mainline BA traditions and informative style ;-'Cityflyer have been very vague with me'. If only they could get some of the important things right.

Cityflyer Questions.

Hi, im thinking about applying for Cityflyer out of London City, could anyone tell me what the rosters are like and how much you earn a month? I used to fly with Emirates but moved back to the UK, i really miss flying but dont want to be away from home alot so would be really helpful if someone could let me know about rosters.

Thanks

The view is that the EDI base keeps its crew longer than the LCY base due to various factors ,so its better to recruit there than LCY,

I think a large part of the wait is that LCY is apparently overcrewed.....

Also, with the new aircraft [due to start phasing in Sept 09] requiring 2 crew on both aircraft types rather than the current 3 on the RJ100 and 2 on the RJ85, that may play a factor?

Training courses

Hi Guys.
I work for Ba cityflyer and have been for over a year. I know there are definatly talks of recuritment as eventually they will need crew, as people here are on the waitlist for going down part time and for pursers. I heard this may all occur in Spring, so fingers crossed things will pick up them, so within the next 6mths I hope you will be given courses. But you should be first in the pipleline before they recurit again! xx hope the wait is not too long!
