Last EASA C550 BRAVO simulator phase out
Hello,
the only (as far I can see from EASA website) C550 Easa certified simulator might be decommissioned shortly and I'm worried on how the operator I work for (and many other operating C500/550/560) will keep up with all the training/cheking requirements (RT/LVTO/STEEP APPROACH/OPC Etc).
Anyone has got an idea? Anyone has gone through an experience like this? (LVL D sim that has been terminated and no other EASA compliant training devices available)
Happy landings to everyone!

that would be great, but I kind of see some objections that will make this solution more difficult than it seems...
Just my first tought...
- no EASA recurrent training program approved (in FAA environment)
- no EASA TRI/SFI nor TRE/SFE available (in FAA environment)
Just my first tought...

I guess we finally have a good reason to persuade our employers for purchasing modern aeroplanes. In addition to the maintenance bills and downtimes they already have to endure (ours was grounded for 14 months during the last two years for lack of spares and qualified technicians)...
I did my last OPC on type with one of the three remaining TREs in Germany because FSI in Farnborough did not have the capacity for my checkride, and in the future it will be the LPC as well. Steep approach I don't care for (our C560 is not officially capable anyway because it lacks the relevant supplement of it's manual) and LVTO even less. I had 125m LVTO training bi-annually during the last 15 years and used it exactly zero times in real life.
Tomorrow I am off to my (probably) last recurrent training with the last EASA certified C550 simulator. I will ask the few remaining people on that programme about their ideas of how to get along in the future!

or get together, buy the sim, make your own training facility...or integrate into an existing tng facility look at Star Wings in DTM with their CJ3 sim. They are making a buck.

One question that I have since many years is, why are authorities (especially EASA) so NOT making any training facilities MANDATORY for the TC holder...? You wanna sell in Europe ? Make sure you have training facilities available for your clients IN EUROPE ?
They have no issues to put very high burdens on operators, yet manufacturers get a free pass. I´m still fuming from the anger the German LBA instilled in me for giving no effing notice on "only sim checkrides" after DECADES of accepting on aircraft checkrides. I recall myself phoning around the world, getting "no slots available" and THEN no effing answer for weeks by the bloody LBA.
