Pilot shortage US and EB-2 Visa

Dear all,
as we all learned there is a huge Pilot shortage in the US with the salaries rising compared to Europe. At least thats what we read in the media.
My question. Does it make any sense to spend money for an immigration attorney, roughly around 6-9000 USD for the whole process plus in case you dont have it already around 9-12000 USD for the FAA ATP?
And on top then you line up with all the other, mostly US Pilots and some south americans for potential jobs. Other question. Will the US companies like to hire us or do they and their Pilots protect their jobs?
I am not quiet sure if we are all so welcome in the US.
Therefore i am a little struggeling with putting up that money.
Sending out applications to potential employers doesnt make any sense at all in my opinion without having the right to work and live in the US first.
What do you guys think about?
Maybe someone can share any insight already.
I am not talking about the airline industry. I am especially talking about Corporate Aviation Part 61/91/135.
Thank you,

I reckon you'll find this interesting: Foreign pilots now allowed to apply for a Green Card?
