We used to stay in Secaucus at the Embassy Suites and then later at the Holiday Inn. While they are not spectacular, there are some restaurants and a huge Walmart in walking-distance. And the bus to Port Authority Bus terminal in Manhattan stops right in front of those hotels.

Hoboken is much nicer than Secaucus.

Its a a nice little community with easy access to Manhattan as it’s just the other side of the river.

We stayed in the Lincoln Harbour Sheraton as our budget didn’t stretch to the more popular W.

What about car parking spots in Hoboken? As long as your hotel has got them, yeah. Otherwise you will pay a small fortune just to park your damn car. In Secaucus parking is for free in the garages.

Teaneck Marriott at Glenpointe and then as EatMyShorts says for the other, the PA bus to Manhattan stops right outside.

Yes. This is a good one. Also there’s free access to an excellent gym next door if you’re into that sort of thing. Hotel is somewhat isolated so you will need a car.

spot on. If you do stay at the W, their restaurant is excellent.

Agreed. The W is less ‘tired’ than the usual Secaucus crew sheds and the bars and restaurants nearby are more varied and homely.
