Best type for freelance ?

What's the best type rating to hold for freelance work at the moment?

apart from that: more or less the heavy stuff --- imho glex being slightly in advantage to the gulfs in europe -- falcons, maybe - if you´re french enough....

G550'and G650 in Asia, you will have plenty of work at good rates.

Interesting analogy PTD. I gave up on the Gulfstream through lack of work. Maybe if you want to live in Asia??? For me no at any cost. As for the 650... a 100,000£ rating takes a lot of work to get your money back, and that is just in the 1st year before you get hit with the 50,000£ recurrent cost? Every year!? Personally, I would rather stick to mid size in Europe without the quite extraordinary costs and lifestyle that the Gulfstream imposes on you? If however someone else is paying training costs, well that maybe different? As a freelancer I fear you will be working for nothing and possibly losing money year on year?

I know G200, G450/550 and G650 pilots making comfortable living in Asia. But all of Them had full time jobs before, and then went freelance.
