Finally caught up to him

Swiss pensioner flying around world forced to land by Indonesian jet fighters | Mail Online

This prat ran off from a friend of mine that does overflight and landing clearances, without paying his bills.

Glad someone caught him.......trying to sneak past airspace without arranging overflight permits and paying what it costs!

Arrogant know-it-all......let him rot in Indonesia!

You can rest assured that a lot of Swiss taxpayers money will be spent to get him out of there again.

Bollocks! Have you ever dealt with the Swiss government? If this guy or his agent even bothers calling the Swiss embassy in Jakarta, he will get a tape recording telling him to call again during office hours. Even if somebody picks up, they will carefully explain that he is none of their business, but that if he needs an emergency passport once he's out of jail, he'd better bring the necessary cash!

Believe you me, unless there is a political necessity to help you, as a Swiss citizen abroad you are on your own, period. On the contrary, if you ever get to speak to an ambassador or consul, he's likely to tell you to not make any waves, as it's bad business for the upcoming free-trade agreement...

Money talks in Indo, but this guy will have to find it on his own and have plenty of patience to boot...

There was a vet in the UK who performed similar unplanned trips such as these. His escapades have been widely reported on the private flyers forums, but said vet didn't have the gaul to wear four bars on each arm!

That alone defines this prankster as a bit of a prat, and if he owes money for overflights and permits I hope he gets forced to cough up. Tosser and a thief!

Well, if I`d fly around the world privately IŽd wear them too. Helps in a lot of places.... I would not hold that against him.

Exactly Dudeness. Many people don't know the value of a set of bars in darkest bla bla bla.

Somebody is talking about Maurice Kirk.

Good luck to them.
