If this guy or his agent even bothers calling the Swiss embassy in Jakarta, he will get a tape recording telling him to call again during office hours. Even if somebody picks up, they will carefully explain that he is none of their business, but that if he needs an emergency passport once he's out of jail, he'd better bring the necessary cash!
Believe you me, unless there is a political necessity to help you, as a Swiss citizen abroad you are on your own, period. On the contrary, if you ever get to speak to an ambassador or consul, he's likely to tell you to not make any waves, as it's bad business for the upcoming free-trade agreement...
