Electronic LogBook, EASA Approved?
Hi there
Is anybody aware of any logbook software that would allow me to log according to EASA & FAA? What I mean is that I don't want to log the same flight twice (once under EASA, different rules regarding cross country, PIC etc.; and once more under FAA) so I would like to enter the datails once, but I want to be able to print out or show entries according to FAA and EASA seperately.
MCC pilot log haven't answered that same question but I guess I culd always set up 2 accounts, one for FAA and the other for EASA. Would still have to put the same flights in twice all the time.
Thanks

LogTen pro will let you print it in any format you like and is EASA approved (at least in my country).
It will let you make collums like FAA-PIC etc
Not the cheapest solution and you need an I-device.

I have 9 large logbooks and my original small logbook from 30+ years ago all in the same format, they have always been accepted by any authority that I showed them to for a licence or rating issue, and I do not sign each page, FFS.
And as for a SAFA inspector asking to produce my logbook or I will delay your flight, tell him/her to go and foxtrot oscar there is absolutely no legal requirement to carry or produce a personal logbook during a ramp check.

@muermel
mcc basic is free, unlimited. I tried that one for a while. Later I changed to the "top" version(forgot the name) because it does as well nighttime calculation(nice, but not really necessary), but more importantly you can synch it with a tablet or phone, so you log your hours after the flight and just synch it at home. Saves time.
Plus it has the "cloud" ^^ . Good, because if my laptop ever crashes or gets stolen my date is still somewhere.
Plus it can do tons of other stuff that I honestly don't use...

I had already a few SAFA checks(mainly France, they really seem to enjoy them ^^), never had to show a logbook.
Usually License/Medical, aircraft docs. Some systems to be operational(TCAS,(e)GPWS,...).
Straight forward if the inspector is not a dick. Normally they aren't.

A quick Google turned up this:
https://easa.europa.eu/system/files/dfu/SAFA Ramp Inspections Guidance Material - Version 2.0.pdf
(hmm... link doesn't seem to work, but if you Google "EASA SAFA guidance material" the link to the pdf works fine). I'll try to resolve the direct link issue.
which is a very detailed description of the conduct of EASA SAFA checks, published by EASA itself. 'Personal logbook' does not appear anywhere in the doc, either in the guidance notes or the list of inspection items and pre-described findings.
I have been subject to five SAFA checks over the years, all have been conducted professionally and to the book; not once have I been asked to produce or discuss anything that isn't on the inspection form/checklist.

FLYLOGIO (https://www.flylogio.com/pilot-logbook) is really one of the best one.
I discoverd it looking for an easy, simple and accomplished electronic logbook.
Firstly it is free ! And it is very well designed with all the features you may expect from an electronic logbook !
