To Fly in Cameroon

Hi guys,

I have the oportunity of flying in Cameroon an aircraft based in Douala. I have experience flying in North Africa but not in West Africa.

How expensive is life there?, Is it a safe city and country?, how is the conexion from Cameron to Europe??, Any info is highly apreciated.

I have no children and I´m not married but girlfriend.

I remember, on the airport road there were a human corpse, two days latter
on, after our stanby, there was still at the same place...that's Africa...!

Hi,

I have done a refueling stop in Douala once, and the only thing I can tell you is to be careful with the refuelers and the office where you pay the landing fees as they all try to rip you off and pretend they don't have change.

Otherwise, Cameroon is a very nice country.

Agree with Jumbo744.....apart from that direct flight to Europe via Air France, I believe they provide a daily service out of Douala. Not very expensive city Douala and very nice expatriate community.

Try not to underestimate the storm cells that tend to build up around that area....avoid avoid avoid.....

Compared to its neighbouring countries Cameroun is quite ok....
