XL/XLS F/O'S ten a penny eh ?!?......and what made your learned friend vocalise that conclusion ?? was there a point ?? or merely an observation on his/her part ??

Rest assured when the marketplace improves, all these "ten a penny" f/o's will be worth sooo much more......i look forward to seeing the day when these guys/gals are paid properly and in-line with the investment we all make to get to where we are today and companies etc. start to realise that they aren't just a commodity to be abused because the current market dictates and allows......as ye sow, so shall ye reap !

Name And Shame

Anyone who thinks that good FOs are "ten a penny" especially received in that context is far too interested in manual sex to be within a mile of a CE-152 never mind a CE-560.

I've always said if the aircraft cannot be properly resourced it needs to be sold in some kind of hurry and have let go of clients who think otherwise.

Can't do that mate - I am hoping to get more work out of it and perhaps even a permanent job, but who knows!

The guys ok really, perhaps that's his experience but am curious how many of us are out there!?

I think one possible driving force behind him saying it was to lower any potential terms and conditions he might offer me - in other words get an FO and captain for cheaper!

Crosswind......can't honestly tell you how many XL/XLS guys are out there unemployed - the fact that this guy/gal you talk of appearing to try and lower the T's & C's by alluding that "f/o@s are ten-a-penny" should give cause to be wary of working for this.....w@n*er....sorry, he wants good quality F/O's then he'll have to pay - just my advice for what it's worth !

Oh, not sure why some of my above text is hyperlinked, apologies......

Hi Guys,

I can confirm that there is at least 1 FO out of work. ME!

3 operators I worked for went bust and I have not flown since. TAG is the only company I worked for that is doing well.

I have time on both Excel and XLS.

I look forward to better times as I really miss flying.

Excel/XLS Driver

Did you fly the Excel with TAG? The only one I can see they operate is G-ELOA. I update my online application with them frequently but nothing yet.

Hi Crosswind Limits,

No it was another Excel based in Geneva. TAG possibly no longer manage the aircraft.

How many hours do you have?

Over 1710 TT with about 650 hours on Bravo/XL/XLSs. The last year has been a nightmare - hopefully things will improve soon!
