Falcon 900 Runway performance

Two questions for Falcon 900 buddies:

1. Shortest runway you have ever landed and taken off?

2. Minimum runway lenght to operate on daily basis (in your opinion)?

Thanx in advance.

On a daily basis, 1000 meters is ok.

I like 5000' plus, when it gets less I pay more attention proportionate to how much. We usualy run at or near gross. Take a look at the price per brake pack, the boss will agree with you when you want more room. I take the view that when something goes wrong your nobody's friend for being a "I can do that" kinda guy. V1 stop?

Of course, 1000 meters for landing, it's "big picture" really. After, it depends of all usual parameters.

900 m (3000 ft) runway?

Thanx for answers.

I am thinking about landing with 4-5 pax and IFR fuel reserves (maybe a little bit more) and taking off with 4-5 pax and fuel for 1-2 hours mission. For longer flights or with more pax I would use 2500 m (8200 ft) long runway nearby.

What is your opinion?

Well, your post is strange, the "Perf" part of your Falcon Flight Manual should give you better tips than the "GA part" of the Pprune forum I guess...don't you think?

Nearby means 15 minutes flight, but 2 hours drive on terrible Polish roads and it makes the difference.

Totally agree with you, but for a time being I don't fly Falcon 900 and have no any access to Falcon Flight Manual. My boss is considering purchase of bigger plane and Flacon 900 is one of the options. According to 2009 B&Ca Purchase Planning Handbook F900 is able to operate from such short runways, but I prefer to ask about that people who fly it. Digits are just digits. And B&CA isn't AFM. Just wonna know how is it in the real world?

Thanx for advise. I have been there before but still can't find any performance charts. Just description of aircraft systems.

Landing distance for 30.000lb (BOM+3000lb fuel+ 1000lb pax) at SL = 2500ft.

I guess this is stating the obvious but here goes anyway. The book will give you the info you need, then apply that to your personal ability, if it is within your comfort zone go for it. I guess its not or your question would not be here anyway. Don't forget, published figures are the aircrafts capability, not the pilot's. Your decision, good luck.

Just what is the length of the runway that you want to use, not the 8,200 foot runway? The shortest runway I have operated a 900EX or a 50EX off of was 4,000 feet long at SL. Never near max GTOW on the 900.

If you posted it, I can't find it.

Oh, the only airport I told the boss no was St. Barts (2,100 ft), but I don't think he was that serious. I was.

Also, doesn't somebody base a 900EX at London City Airport?

sunny always?
for me, 900 m would be to short for daily ops. (Take Off abort)
no big deal for the F900 on perfect conditions,
but may you sell bad conditions to your boss?
grooved runway?
privat ops?

But, to be honest, what than a turboprop, is the alternative?
