Michael Winner has to pay for fuel!
'With a very funny ending when the jet company’s credit card was not accepted at the airport for the fuel. So we had to have a whip-round to pay cash in order to get out.'
Winners Dinners 19th July, Sunday Times
Recall Michael extolling the virtues of this company with regards to their non existing catering. Guess the credit card wasn't working at Nice that day either
Has it happened to you?

Welcome to Michael Winner
His column has never been anything more than a simple portal for him to vent spleen against anyone who didn't treat him with the reverence that he believes he deserves.
I speak as a previously name-checked victim in his vitriolic Times column.
My advice to MW? Stick to linguistines and poor (so poor) movies.
(Ok - the Police Memorial Charity deserves credit where due - he has got something in the right place somewhere!)

Well said Twinjet, I concur that MW is a 'challenging' gig!
Take everything MW say's in his column, or any other forum, with a large pinch of salt.
I operated as a pilot for '247Jet' twice last year and never had any problems at all. Quite the opposite. Hotel in Southend was nice too.

BN,
I would have given you the benefit until you said the hotel was nice. Surely not the county? Nice? If I am wrong, please let me know which one because I havnt found a good one yet in southend.

Well, i've flown MW on several occasions at 247, and so far (touching large amounts of good quality wood) he's been exceptionally well behaved, despite his history (Ask Malcolm Rusby at TAG! )
His column is notoriously vitriolic, however it provides us all with a laugh!
