Where is Learjet 35A-265 now?
Does anyone know the current whereabouts of Lear 35A-265?
Ex A6-RJI/UAE 801/G-LEAR.
Apparently Royal Jet in Dubai sold her a year ago but they couldn't tell me who to! Is she still flying?
Thanks,

re LR35A 265
I Hope the old bird is still flying
We tokk delivery of the baby in 1989 and she was on the books until approx 3-4 years ago
Lovely old bird but she caused a few Heartaches in her time with various things
I remember the day she left Manchester on delivery to UAE
I dont think there was a dry eye in NEA
Please let me know if u find anything on her

I heard a rumour that she was now operating out of Cyprus, but not showing up on any of the registers apart from as A6-RJI.
I last flew with her in '01 with a camera install. Was very sad to see her leave.

G-LEAR
We had sn 365 G-CJET where is that one now? Germany I think. it was a great aircraft mainly because it was maintained by NEA. I forget the Chief Engineers name (Trevor ........) but he always got the aircraft out on time and within budget and it never went wrong even doing 750 hours gruelling charter a year. We sold it in 1995 because it was approaching 10,000 hours and thought that was a bit high. Probably got 20,000 now and still going strong. Only flown the 35a but am told it is still one of the best Lears to fly.

He ended up in Wandsworth I think. Had "Carolin" painted on the nose hence G-CJET. I think it was his daughter

Yes you are correct it was G-RDBS that had "Carolin" G-CJET had "Caroline" when it was painted white/blue. I remember well because my wife is called Caroline and I told her I had it painted on for her! Worked wonders for a while!

The venerable G-LEAR
Nice to see that the old girl still attracts such interest. Happy memories of many an hour cooped up in that two-man crash helmet that served as a cockpit.
Tried to post a picture but it wouldn't work.

Oh happy days......many memerable hours in G-LEAR. I was only looking at a 35 yesterday from my big glass cockpit and wishing I was flying those low level EW flights in Norway again. Without doubt the most enjoyable flying of my life.

Hawker 750 - The guys name you were trying to remember was Gould (Trevor), he was the Engineering Manager in those days, ably assisted by Chief Engineer Willie Hines
