finding a job worlwide for JAA lowtimer

Hi everybody,

I am new on that forum.. and don't know if there have ever been something about what I am posting, so sorry if so.
Well I'd like to know if it 'd be possible to find a job for JAA low timer, anywhere in the world (in Africa or Asia, South America...) doing anything to make experience, but not as an instructor (I think about bush pilot for exemple, or anything to begin with), and then trying to get a job in a bizjet company..
What do you think about that? Is it possible to achieve, when the crisis is over?

Thank U for your answers.

No jobs at the current climate for low timers. There are some jobs in Middle East, Asia and Africa if you are experienced and have time on type.

good luck

Anything is possible I guess, even in the recent times. Just not very likely

As for bush pilots, there's some great threads floating around which are about getting into bush flying in Africa, you'd be better off in the African forum section though I guess.

A friend of mine went to Maun this season, then came back 2 weeks later as there were no jobs and 15 guys floating around waiting for something to come up.

Joe, I would suggest that you consider applying to RYR.

Hi Bignumber and everybody,

First thank you for your answers. Well actually I m not yet a pilot but just considering it. Anyway do u really think that's easier to join RYR (how many candidates for how many seats, really I mean) than finding a job there, in a "normal period"?

Joetheplumber,

I don´t know your background and how 'infected' you really are. I personally would not choose the career again. I love to fly, the job is great. But all the things around are getting worse. IF you can, try to make a career in a good job that allows you to fly for fun. Nothing beats a nice VFR rideout with a nice small airplane IMO. The market will come back - but no one knows when and to what level. I personally belief that this crisis is far from over and probably the deepest we ever had. And historically, the jet is the one thing that goes first. I have been in executive aviation since nearly 20 years now, a familiy member started 1960. So there is a certain amount of experience. That family member has been made redundant 3 times and I had the 'pleasure' already once and I´m pretty sure I will have it soon again, as the airplane I´m on is up for sale.
If you invest the kind of money we talk here, IMO you are better off if you study something fancy that earns you money.

IF you can get on a cadet scheme that pays for the training - then its a no-brainer.

Whatever you do, good luck!

In the nicest possible way I think your questions might be better suited to the wannabees forums. Just about every question you could possibly think of has been answered there.
