So......

It is five weeks now since the Challengers were grounded and lots of staff laid off. Has anyone been paid since December?

Does anyone know where the XLSs have gone to? Or are they firmly tied to a heavy brick?

Many thanks

I would have thought that, with the finacial backing the Chairman might provide, this would have been resolved quickly.

They certainly don't like returning phone calls or answering emails at the moment, that's for sure! I have a couple of questions that need answering......

Got a letter off the administrators yesterday, not that they owed me anything, maybe a couple of quid. Sorry if others lost more!

Hope something comes out of this for the good folk...

shame for all those left behind and owed money.

Let's hope that justice will prevail with the John Matthews court case...anyone know if a date has been set? Thanks!

Correct, the Tumbleweed can only be found in the wallets and purses of the ex-staff.

the wallets and purses are that barren that even tumbleweed will struggle to exist

Just heard from the administrators that the RP1 forms have only just been sent off - 2 weeks after receiving them. So lets recap:
  • Challenger crews and most of ground ops laid off with no regard to employment law or redundancy procedures
  • No intent of paying what is contractually owed (ie lieu of notice, redundancy)
  • Staff Company Handbook being removed from Intranet site before redundancy notices being issued
  • No employees have been paid since December
  • Several of the crew left with company expenses on their personal credit card (at least two I have heard of well in excess of £10,000)
  • No communicaton from the Directors since January - allegedly under direct instructions from the Chairman's lawyers
  • No P45's issued
  • No references issued (with one or two exceptions) - allegedly under direct instructions from the Chairman's lawyers
  • The latest Director/Accountable Manager has, perhaps, "done a runner"
  • Now, the administrators are sitting on the claims from the NI fund
What an absolute shambles.

Meanwhile, the Chairman has a team of lawers pursuing the former MD and, I hear a rumour, now pursuing those closely associated with "running" the company as well as monitoring PPRUNE and, allegedly, harrassing ex-staff.

This constatnt dicking-about is all very well, but how about a bit of consideration for those who have done an HONEST day's work and have been waiting very patiently and honorably, for an honest day's pay?

How about asking, and paying, those that were in senior positions to help sort out the mess?

Sorry.......feel better for that!

The problem is that they wont ask those in the know about how to sort the mess out because they are affraid to talk to those concerned or have belived another pack of lies they have been fed by both accountable managers (now departed).
There has been no consideration for those that put UNTOLD hours into getting it all up and running and trying to make it something that COULD AND SHOULD have worked REALLY WELL if the right people where allowed to have there say and maybe speak with the chairman and give him the FACTS, all the cloak and dagger is ridiculous (its not like its mi5).
The fact that the lives of all the staff have been severly affected by two maybe 3 inept indivduals is an absolute DISGRACE, it makes me sick to think that these people can walk away totally scott free.

SHOW US THE MONEY??????!!!!!!!!!

RSXL was Farnborough based - a cunning way of getting weekend slots for the rest of the fleet...
