Beechcraft down in Linden NJ

Just saw on the news tonight, a Beechcraft leaving Linden (Elizabeth Airfield) in NJ crashed after take off whilst attempting to return to Virginia (CBS news)

Husband and wife managed to get themselves out of the aircraft, taken to Newark Hospital and in critical condition.

The pilot apparently reported mechanical troubles before the incident.
