Comments on the new Harrods Luton FBO

What does everyone, both passengers and crew, think of the new FBO at Luton?

the entrance to the "pay and display" car park and then into the building is just what you expect going into to Harrods store. What you dont expect is the "ASDA" service and "pack em in high" mentality on the ramp!!!.

I did see a Harrods vehicle without a dent recently,I think it had just been delivered!!!!, any thing left there too long will always leave dented, Cars, vans
G5's, Falcon's, BBJ's they are not fussy.

The ramp is ridiculously small plus being at the end of the D taxyway there are often delays due to incoming aircraft needing to get to their stand before you can leave stand 71. Also why don't they get some BIGGER crew transport busses ?????????????????
One more moan - the electric gates at the side used to bring us airside have the slowest motor on the planet

When Harrods was based on the south apron the apron as well as their hangar area always seemed to be jam packed with biz jets.

Now since their move to the old cargo area it is a case of where have all the aircraft gone with their new apron almost empty for much of the day. Seeing that their apron in front of their hangar was already full is it a case that Harrods has lost business?

Harrods have to be careful how many a/c they accept for handling now, as once they accept a large a/c such as a BBJ or Airbus, then that is about all they can actually fit on their new apron. Maybe that is why you saw an empty apron, they must have been expecting a larger a/c!
