KingAir 350?
Anyone operate one of these. Would like to see what they are like cost/speed/range wise against a light jet.....
Also. Anyone who has flown one, do you think you would land it on an 800m runway without much bother (obviously weight etc. permitting).
Are they single pilot machine?
I know you can get a lot of the operation specs of the net but they are often inaccurate/'sales-man-iesed'!
(and private ops apply not the commercial minima)

For payload you cannot compare the 350 with a light jet, the 350 can take 9 pax and luggage and even then almost full fuel. We sometimes operate from an 800m runway but with a reduced TOW

Hi
We have 6 years and many hrs operating the 350, great load carrier [empty 9,600 lbs max t/o 15,000 lbs] for a corporate shuttle at 310 kts, but it`s not a short field kingair especialy if it`s wet, and it runs out of fuel very quickly on a long flight, in Europe plan on about 800 nm with max fuel.
The problem is that when operating with the ice vanes out you lose about 70 kts of TAS at max cruise, and of course with no RVSM you are ALWAYS in the weather!, so if you want to get out of the weather and go long distance get a CJ!.

I have flown the 350 for 7 years and its a great airplane.Takes a good load 9 pass. I have flown them with 11 but no luggage and a long runways .But like some else said here get a CJ it will only cost you about 300.00 U.S more a hour to operate it and at a 100kts faster it will add up.But I have nothing to say bad about the 350.

I think you´d have to rephrase that into "can be RVSM approved"
Not every installation is approved, AFAIK you need to have pricy SB´s done to get RVSM especially for the not Proline 21 equipped airplanes (Collins 85B EFIS ADC Problem)

i am flying a B350 Rvsm equipped and approved...
very god aircraft, in standard conditions, 300Kts at FL300 with 9 pax and a lot of luggages...
for me it is the best corporate turboprop aircraft.
Concerning fuel consumption, it is burning about 900Lbs the first hour and 700 lbs the following,if you climb up to Rvsm levels, it can be 600 lbs per hour......
Concerning the load, you can fly with full fuel (3600Lbs), with 6 pax plus luggages...and at MTOW (15000Lbs) you can take off from an airfield with 1000m.....in std conditions of course.....
if you fly this one you'll enjoy it, especially with the new proline 21 cockpit......
