Question NetJets Middle East aka NAS

I am new to all this so I apologise if I have posted in the wrong place.

Please could somebody give me any up to date information regarding National Air Services (NAS) who are usually known as NetJets ME. I would be grateful to receive any information, good or otherwise....

Hi Woolsack.

I got your PM and replied. In the meantime using the 'search' function in this forum should give you all the posts on NJME.

Cheers

Flinty

Hi

NAS is not NJME. NJME only flies under the AOC of NAS. As you can imagine, it's not so easy to start an own AOC in KSA, therefore NJME pay to use the AOC of NAS

No

A little bit more than a sim and a chat, which is what NJ require.

I did the above, then NAS got hold of the thing and included a tough (for me) questionnaire about everything, including maths, with IRCC 120 q's in an hour. Got the impression they were looking for rocket scientists. That is all very well if the job was in "paradise" and a $200,000/year, but Jeddah??!! Give me a break.

Unless NAS have woken up, or you are pretty sharp I would brush up if I were you.

No again I didn't get the job.

NJME Interview at Farnborough

Got a Phone Call from NJME on Wednesday with an interview invite for Friday and Saturday at FSI.. Had to immediately book a flight all the way from Australia to Heathrow.. Booked into the Marriott with 12 hours leeway..... Better be worth it! Say they are going to reimburse me for all costs... Hope so! Spent $4000 so far

Tuesday for me,
Presentation
Sim
Panel
What i have been told, also it seems that if you already have an FAA ticket its a plus.
I have been told (by my ex CP) that there were interviews held in the US not to far back and there was vey little uptake, maybe this explains the short notice.
I am in the same boat as you, currently on the road and have had to wing it arrive LTN very late friday after my boss releases me.

edit....late news
search NJME on google found that they are due to take 3 G350 this year..
goes most of the way to explaining the rush.

Interview

Did the interview. Pretty standard stuff. Few questions on proceedures on Jep Plates. Few what if questions.. What would you change about yourself if you could questions. Sim ride is pretty tough. Two 80 mile sectors in a GIV two crew ops no help from FMS. One ILS each sector entry and hold pilot interpreted.. All went OK for me but a few guys said they really blew it.. Pm me for more info.. Maybe see you in the pit

I know ACASS is sourcing pilots for NJME. See they are advertising for the G4and Hawker fleet, but strange no F2000 pilots needed?

Did you guys/gals get your call directly from NJME/NAS or from ACASS?

From what I heard, 35 on/ 31 off dont get paid on your time out but if you sign on for the year they will pay you the equivilant of 7 months salary.

Monthly wages were ok, but when only get it for 7 months sure does not make the offer very attractive, at least in my opinion. ...and to be in Jeddah for 35 ...better hope the planes are busy!! Furthermore, no guarantee what a/c you're interviewing for or will get if offered the job. That also takes the excitment out of the offer.

Any other offers/promises or is that what the rest of you understood or where offered??

Thanks

Hi there

Three questions for the ones in the know:

- Do they hire direct-entry captains, or only F/Os initially like NJE?

- Can you confirm they actually pay you during your 31 days off (I thought so)?

- Are they open to hiring crews currently working for other NJ branches (NJA/NJI/NJE)?

Thanx for your time guys...

TTF

Cool

Hi 3top,
For all your questions, the answer is yes.
I declined the offer due to the base (jeddah only!)
Soft landing

Hey Defenestrator,

If you are refering to my post, what's with the attitude?? I was only askign a question.

I have done my homework and I have discovered a conflict in the information that I have and I was hoping that someone in the know could clarify for me.

I was only quoting what I was told from the ACASS rep that has contacted me. I have provided the basics of that offer. However what i knew to be the terms & conditions (granted, perhaps old info but still was directly from NAS/NJME) is different then those that I have from ACASS. If you could, please clarify what the actually terms and conditions.

Perhaps while you are at it, maybe you know why it is that ACASS is now involved with the recruiting of the pilots and why they will only pay for 7 months when I knew that NJME paid 12.

If this is too much to ask, then please accept my appologies. Hopefully some will be able to answer with a more acceptable tone.

As for Jeddah, ...it appears as if others feel the same way. However I'm not lettinbg that stop me, I just hope the airplanes are flying lots.

Joe

NJME

ACASS is having trouble filling these vacancies.

35 paid on and 31 unpaid off. $100 pd /day for the 35 days on.

If not typed then its a 2 year committment at the initial contracted compensation. There are no adjustments in the initial contract.

No committment as to what a/c. I read that as you get the Hawker. Gulfstream is mentioned as a teaser.

NJME is NOT part of NetJets. It is NAS licensed to do business as Netjets ME. You can't flow over to the other NJets orgs.

NJME structured under Pt 135 BUT OPERATED under Pt 91 !!!! This should grab your attention.

The more questions I asked the more evasive the ACASS individual was. I walked away from this one.

Make your own decision.

Other side of the coin....

I have been offered a position with NJME and will be taking it.

My reasoning is the rotation pure and simple. Less time dealing with the local bs the better (ok ok the pay is 20% better than my current gig)
Their are a lot worse rotations and a lot worse money out there.
Some of you think its not a good deal......

Well there was a wide range of guys from all over the planet, loco 737, 747, Private 320 drivers and the rest of us corporate tin pushers.

They let you base at almost any major gateway in the world, the $$$$ are tax free and given that you will be doing plenty of flying your time in JED will go past pretty quick.

If the package was not that attractive then why, have so many experienced heavy and light corporate drivers been showing up?

See http://www.pprune.org/forums/showthread.php?t=274018

I hope Skip's deal is the real thing.

See you in the sandpit!

To clarify one more thing about the ACASS offer. You are employed by ACASS under contract to NJME. You are not an employee of NJME but report to ACASS.

Apparently there are people getting hired directly by NJME/NAS with much more lucrative compensation. My information is what was provided by ACASS and is correct.

I don't undedrstand why everone is using ACASS, they suck!!!
Not only do you not get paid on your off days, but you do not get the medical plan either or for some the bonus.

I was hired as a G4 captain, I will be going to Jeddah next week. I was hired through Jet Professionals. JP also recruits for NJME in the US, in fact I think that JP started recruiting first back in December. I do get paid every month, even my off months, I also get the bonus of one months salary for each year that i am there, and i get the medical plan and life insurance plan.

Once hired, JP is no longer involved, we are now considered full time NAS employes. Acass pilots are controlled by Acass and are considered part-time pilots.

So if you want the better deal, JP is the way to go

My contract is for the Hawker.

Why would you want to work the following:

On/Off(days) Operator

12/10 Comlux
18/12 Jetalliance
17/13 GlobalJet Lux
28/14 CJM

Most of the rest are full time jobs even though the money varies. I would much rather spend my work days in the sunshine than in a hotel in Moscow as a lot of the touring jobs are now.

Its all about lifestyle and what YOU want to do.

The selling point is 35/31 and it is the only way they are going to keep talent if the BS-o-meter keeps climbing in the industry.
