Initial reports not good, possibly one fatality. S61 moving injured to University Hospital, Galway, weather conditions pretty awful, allegedly Cessna Caravan 7 pax plus pilot.

Possibly this C208, N208EC. It was on an IFR flight from Waterford and was due into Connemara airport at around 1000local this morning.
Seen in better times here:

If it is this aircraft, it is a recent manufacture being 2005 and I understand it to be the one based in Weston.
My thoughts are with all those affested by today's events.

Most passengers believed to be locals of Galway. I know one of those who died but I won't say anything until it's released.

Rest In Peace Good Buddy.

Been a regular pilot that operates out of the airport, it has a short runway and approach is difficult.
Very bad idea to go flying in todays conditions.
5 of board were local people whom i knew.
RIP to the pilot and passenger.

RTE have named both victims of the crash.

God rest them both.

Though FlyingV changed the title of this thread within his post, it still shows as "incident". Considering there have been fatalities, I think it would be appropriate for a moderator to change it, if the first poster can't. It is certainly not an "incident".
