So if I'm not mistaken and the rumor mill is correct thats 3 pilots gone in the last month with at least another 4 with interviews pending.

They must be getting desparate about now - maybe they will consider me doing the Flt Sim 5 part of the interview over the telephone.

Hope for a low hours wannabee yet

pilots are leaving in droves from goldair not to mention the ops staff and i wouldn't be surprised if the cleaners got up and walked out next week.
staff have basically just had enough crap from the MD and his partner.

people that have left-
3 f.o's within the last 3-4 weeks
1 captain within the last 2 weeks
5 pearched ready to leave within the next couple of weeks!!!

Out of less than 20 drivers it says it all

this is not the company you want to work for at the moment!!
GO FIGURE!!!

Gold Air

Heard that Gold Air have some new aircraft on the fleet and some new faces on the team. Looks to me this company is on the move and going places.

Also heard that they are looking for a couple of crews but not quite sure of the current hours requirements. In the past this was about 1500hrs and not sure if this still stands. Perhaps some one would know. Looks like a good opportunity with a great company.

Cheers

Someone I know sent in their CV a few weeks back. He had 800ish hours, mainly multi. The Chief Pilot's answer? Come back when you have some more hours! Well, look on the bright side, he didn't want a Lear TR and 500 on type.

Corporate flying = loads of hours needed to get in

Any truth in the rumour that Gold Air have ordered a pair of Global Express 5000's from Bombardier (reportedly negotiated at the same time the deal for the LJ45XR's was done).

I've also noted that some of the older LJ45s have not been returned to Bombardier now that the LJ45XR fleet is steadily increasing.

What does that mean
Are they suppose to be getting them or not ... Or are they going to be managed, or a lease deal from bombardier ?

Let's just say the Global's are kind of smokescreens - but much bigger happenings might just be around the corner.

Gold Air

For those who care the new fleet aren't XR's just standard 45's. The original order was for the XR's but was then amended.
The min requirements are 1500 hours although apparently people have been taken on with less, depends which way the winds blowing and how many crew have recently left.
Two globals have been ordered but does that mean anything in real terns? Wait until 2008 and they're sitting on the ramp before getting too excited about fleet expansion.

If they do, they don't reply as fast as some of their colleagues/competitors
