Nice.

Just about to take a stab with the Douglas Skywarrior, but this looked too big and the nacelle didn't fit...

evansb 2nd December 2011 23:20

That would be an Avro Shackleton I believe.

SincoTC 4th December 2011 10:32

Good morning Mel,

Absolutely correct :D!! It is the Avro Shackleton MR.3 (RR Griffon)

You have control :ok:

MReyn24050 4th December 2011 10:35

Not after the aircraft type but the engine type. What aircraft it is used in would be a bonus.

SincoTC 4th December 2011 13:31

Unexpected work call so not as much time as hoped for!

Just off between showers for a walk; so a quick guess, it looks rather like a Lyulka AL-21F-3 in a SU-22 Fitter ??

MReyn24050 4th December 2011 13:51

Trevor.
I will accept that, it is in fact the AL-31F as fitted to the Sukhoi Su-27. You have control.

SincoTC 4th December 2011 15:54

Thank you Mel,

I wasn't too sure of the exact model and it seems there are lots of minor detail differences and that was the nearest I found!

Try this one http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/...allenge021.jpg

Noyade 4th December 2011 19:42

Evening.

The exhaust belongs to the Convair Pogo...maybe?
