Thanks Graeme....yes, one of my favourites. One wonders what would have happened had the photo-shoot not gone wrong? Amazing that the aircraft it was to have replaced is still flying after more than 50 years!

Early night so Open House.

Good night.

Noyade 4th December 2011 21:27

Goodnight Ken, but just in case you're slow with the toothbrush, here's a quick one to lure you back. :)

Evening Graeme :),

I think that's a SNCASE SE-5003 Baroudeur ??

Open House please if correct, I'm just off to work now with a busy day ahead and will be away from computer for much of it :(

Morning Trevor. Always busy, I hope you get Christmas Day off mate. :(

It is what you say it is.

Open House.

SincoTC 5th December 2011 19:23

No takers, so I'll reclaim the OH.

Sorry for the poor quality, but let there be no doubt that this is an air-intake!

Karlark 5th December 2011 20:39

Evening TC, is it the DWI-1 Distributor Wing by Aerial Distributors?

Noyade 5th December 2011 20:42

air-intake!
G'day again mate. :) Jet intake? Looks sorta radial. Russian? Can't figure out the attachment points. Looks like it's on top of a biplane.

SincoTC 5th December 2011 20:52

Good afternoon Karlark,

Good ID mate!! It is the Aerial Distributors DWI-1 Distributor Wing :D

http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/...afe/dwi1-2.jpg

G'day Graeme, that should answer your questions :) It was a 1965 crop-duster with a novel way of eliminating the spraybars! The inlet is for a compressor/Sprayer, powered by an auxiliary Lycoming O-235

Karlark has control

Karlark 5th December 2011 20:59

It just doesn't look right. :)

Here is the next one;

G'day Karlark :) Martin Mercator?

Karlark 5th December 2011 21:12

Morning Noyade,

Yes, Martin Mercator :ok:, slam dunk.

I must not have made the picture blurry enough.

I think you boys are developing a mean streak. :)

Thanks Karlark. Moving on...

Karlark 6th December 2011 22:42

Diamond DA42?

SincoTC 6th December 2011 23:08

Afternoon Karlark,

That'll do for me, it's the Lycoming powered Diamond DA42-L360 (rather than the usual Thielert Centurion turbocharged diesel engines)

SincoTC 6th December 2011 23:25

That's a real interesting looking device, but it's my sack-time now as I've gotta be up in less than five hours :(!

Is it a canard, manned or not?

Karlark 6th December 2011 23:35

Yes, manned, not canard.

G'nite TC if I do not hear anything soon.
