Is that Brize Norton or Lulsgate or even Whitchurch?
|
Not England; Looks more like the Falklands to me but the terrain could be Scotland or Orknies..
|
Well you are right there with The Falklands Chevvron ..... You now need to sail closer to home.....

Can't name the boat but I think it was the one where the SAS hid almost under water for several days whilst watching the enemy and passing details to the commanders.

You will find it in Bristol - Tourist Attraction.......

Not a historic photo (taken earlier this year) but a very historic aerodrome. https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/pprune....ea3c745539.jpg |
Go on then, I'll give you a clue:There is quite a notable world record attached to this airfield. Pretty sure many folks here will have visited it.

SS Great Britain recovered to Bristol from the Falklands where she sailed following storm damage
|
Could it be..... Manchester? Ringway?
Visited no doubt by many on this site. Bound to have a few world records too. BSD |
Doesn`t look like it`s in UK...? USA?
|
It's not in the UK or the USA, nor anywhere else in the Anglosphere I'm afraid.
Give you another clue: that was a British Airways A319 I was peering out the window of. |
I think Hamburg Fuhlsbuttel

Never flew there, but drove by on the A7 just last week. A very fine city as well. I visited as it was the nearest entry point for my visit to Heligoland and Sylt (see my last challenge) but I was so impressed with the place. It's managed to move with the times while still keeping its industrial core, as well as its industrial 'feel'. Couldn't help thinking as I was walking around the place, and taking the Heligoland ferry down the Elbe, that it's basically what Newcastle thinks it is. Anyway, enough waffling - all yours :) |
