Yes I did know the Country & western connection - I used to work in Oklahoma - there's nothing else there

But I missed chevvron's witty reply at such an early hour.

Well, I think it's Teuge Airport between Apeldoorn and Deventer in the Netherlands.

Self loading bear 12th Jul 2023 16:20

Thnarg was the first with Teuge , but good to see ea200 and D26 to join in, in the 24 hr timeframe.
Take it away Thnarg!

thnarg 12th Jul 2023 16:36

Bedankt Bear. By the way, how do you pronounce “Teuge”? I suspect it involves phlegm.

Some people (looking at you Asturias) may give you half a wing and a shed. I give you a whole runway from twenty years ago…

I think you can best pronounce it Like the German Flugzeuge

When I was a callow youth on here I was similarly generous.... I learn't my lesson very quickly....... :{

As to the challenge - that runway look pretty broad - as does the taxiway to the left. All the rubber is one end of the runway so presumably a steady wind direction. two parking areas - one, smaller one on the left and a much larger area off the far end of the runway to the right. Possibly joint military /civil? With the military off to the right?

Neat cultivation - looks like olives and, almonds and vines perhaps? Hazy, very hazy. I'd guess Mediterranean??

thnarg 13th Jul 2023 08:10

Good morning Asturias. Not Mediterranean.

Asturias56 13th Jul 2023 13:56

thnarg 13th Jul 2023 14:06

Caribbean? Ah getting closer. Shouldn’t take you much longer…

ea200 13th Jul 2023 14:17

Holguin Frank Pais in Cuba it is. Glad we never had to choose between those two options painted on the wall by the runway exit.

And that’s 24 hours so ea200 has control, probably with some old picture of a tree and a shed.
