Actually,it`s more `sore-tooth` when you start the Mercury,with much `grinding and `squeaking`,until it runs smoothly,oil pressure is high,then falls to normal as the temperature rises...Then in flight it `purrrss`,like a big cat sleeping...
Any way,here we are returning from Mildenhall 9/6/84,and a photo session en-route; bit of a grey day ,and the engine is well known to get carb icing,if you reduce power without carb heat..been there,done that..! copy/wrt/Vines/Davies..,,,You have control... https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/pprune....2ae06a7a47.jpg |
