Lightning Mate 28th Feb 2012 06:48

Looks like that would have severe ingestion problems during a wet take-off, so I assume it's not an engine intake.

Noyade 28th Feb 2012 07:31

Morning mate.

It is an engine intake.

Lightning Mate 28th Feb 2012 07:33

Evening mate.

I assume it's therefore not a jet.

Noyade 28th Feb 2012 07:37

There is a jet engine in the fuselage.

Lightning Mate 28th Feb 2012 08:01

Looks quite old.

Are you saying that is the main engine intake?

Noyade 28th Feb 2012 08:04

Over 60 years old.

Yes.
