Evening David.

Aircraft is directly overhead and we're looking at the underside of the tail and exhaust?

Lightning Mate 25th Feb 2012 20:04

Correct on all counts mate. :)

Noyade 25th Feb 2012 20:17

Maybe it's the cropping, but the tail looks very big and the exhaust rather small?

American mate?

Lightning Mate 25th Feb 2012 20:25

A Yank it is......

Noyade 25th Feb 2012 20:35

Fighter?......

Lightning Mate 25th Feb 2012 20:38

Nah mate - flight test aeroplane.

Noyade 25th Feb 2012 20:42

flight test aeroplane
Ah. With a cockpit/pilot?

Lightning Mate 25th Feb 2012 20:45

Oh yes - certainly manned.

Only one ever made.

Guess the zero to sixty...................................;)

edit: twin-engined........and they are tiny............

Lightning Mate 25th Feb 2012 21:08

It's getting late here mate (well, for me anyway).

You have been deserted on SC, so here's something else to ponder.

Zero to sixty ain't anything to do with speed...............(angles).....:ok:

Stay away from sons' place of work!!!!!!!!

Noyade 25th Feb 2012 21:16

It's getting late here mate (well, for me anyway).
Goodnight mate. :ok: Thanks for the clues.

Got some serious pondering to do. Jet exhaust, four-prop airliner on SC and Mel's elusive floatplane an WA.

Time to sit on the dunny.

Noyade 25th Feb 2012 22:26

Very clever mate. :D

Good evening mate - hope you had a good Sunday with no 'orrible burgers!

I thought that would be an interesting one to post, which is why I thought fairly early clues were in order.

You have control. :ok::ok:

Noyade 26th Feb 2012 08:32

Thanks mate. :)

Here's the next one...

Lightning Mate 26th Feb 2012 08:34

Pusher I assume.......

Noyade 26th Feb 2012 08:36

Yep........

Lightning Mate 26th Feb 2012 08:38

Piaggio....?

Noyade 26th Feb 2012 08:40

Not Piaggio.

Lightning Mate 26th Feb 2012 08:43

Realised that soon after I posted.

I jumped at a PT6a engine, but looking more closely it could be a piston.

Noyade 26th Feb 2012 08:46

I jumped at a PT6a engine
Good jump. That's the engine - turboprop.

Lightning Mate 26th Feb 2012 08:49

AVTEK 400 ?

Maybe Jetcruzer 500.

Noyade 26th Feb 2012 08:52

Not the Aveck. This aircraft has just the one engine.

Lightning Mate 26th Feb 2012 08:54

You might have missed my edit:

Jetcruzer 500 ?

Noyade 26th Feb 2012 08:58

You might have missed my edit:
I did miss it.

:ok:

Your control mate.

Lightning Mate 26th Feb 2012 09:02

Cheers mate.

This is the only one I have left.

(still trying to fathom SC).

Noyade 26th Feb 2012 09:16

Looks like it's in a junk-yard going by the background? Bugs and fly-**** at the front, or is that the exhaust?

Lightning Mate 26th Feb 2012 09:27

It's at the front - an air intake, but not to an engine.

Noyade 26th Feb 2012 09:27

It also looks "industrial strength" with the ring of bolts holding the end piece on?

Pulse-jet?

Lightning Mate 26th Feb 2012 09:29

It's not an engine intake mate - it's for something else.

"industrial strength" might give you a clue as to the country.

Back to SC :\

Lightning Mate 26th Feb 2012 09:38

Wanna bigger pic?

Noyade 26th Feb 2012 09:49

Yes please. :)

Lightning Mate 26th Feb 2012 09:50

Standby then...........

http://i636.photobucket.com/albums/u..._29/bigger.jpg

Noyade 26th Feb 2012 10:07

Are you still in chopper mode?

Part of the cockpit at the top of the photo = the front? That is bug ****? Proboscis is for what purpose?

Lightning Mate 26th Feb 2012 10:11

Got it in one mate. :)

You are indeed looking from the front

The proboscis is a rear-view mirror.

The splatterings around the guard can only be squashed bugs.

Noyade 26th Feb 2012 10:17

An air filter?
Chernobyl air-sampler?

Edit;

The proboscis is a rear-view mirror.
??

Lightning Mate 26th Feb 2012 10:20

Another pic coming up..............

http://i636.photobucket.com/albums/u...9/bigger-1.jpg

Chernobyl has got you the right country........;)

Noyade 26th Feb 2012 10:35

Hoodlum?

So, what does that thing at the front do?

Lightning Mate 26th Feb 2012 10:41

Hoodlum it is. :D

I'm not sure what the intake is, but it looks as if it's got something to do with cabin air.

All yours mate. :ok:

Noyade 26th Feb 2012 10:48

Thanks mate.

Next...

http://img833.imageshack.us/img833/1568/snapau.jpg

Lightning Mate 26th Feb 2012 10:50

Strewth - if that's a jet exhaust it's tiny.........

Noyade 26th Feb 2012 10:56

As I understand it mate, it exhausts compressed air from the main jet engine.
