Is this one Miles from any other one? Or still in school?

Karlark 7th Dec 2011 03:12

Good Morning safety,

:)

This one is many Miles closer to you than I. Being a Student in aviation I see you must know that the thread is yours as it is the Miles M.100 :ok:

SincoTC 7th Dec 2011 03:45

Ho hum yawn, time to get up!!

Bugger; course it is :O; I took an almost identical photo of that intake at the Farnborough air display :ugh:, but it was over half a century ago and I was tired last night (and that seems like ten minutes ago)!!

Good call SP :ok:

safetypee 7th Dec 2011 12:06

Kitbag 7th Dec 2011 21:42

Did the obvious thing and looked at Norwich Aviation Museum, but they don't seem to have any 4 engined types, so go for the most likely and suggest Bristol Britannia?

norwich 7th Dec 2011 21:46

Like your train of thought Kitbag ! But it's not at Norwich and not a whispering giant ?

Keith :=

skytrain10 7th Dec 2011 22:29

Aerospacelines (Boeing 377GT) Super Guppy?

norwich 7th Dec 2011 22:36

skytrain10. You are, of course, correct ! It is F-BTGV at Bruntingthorpe, the exhausts are from Allison T56 engines, although I think I am right in saying they are not actually in the airframe ?? You have control !

Keith :D

skytrain10 7th Dec 2011 22:45

Thanks Keith. Open House

Looks to be positioned like a Salamander, or is it cleverly cropped? :)

skytrain10 8th Dec 2011 22:19

Not a Salamander, so guess it falls into the "cleverly cropped" category:). It's a prop exhaust, not a jet.

SincoTC 9th Dec 2011 14:53

Afternoon Ken,

Coffee time smash and dash!!

I think that's a Ivchenko/ZMKB Progress AI-20DM turboprop in an Antonov An-32 ?? Probably belonging to the Bangladesh Air Force ;)

If correct, the Open House please, I'll come back after work and put another one up it's still free!

skytrain10 9th Dec 2011 15:28

I was just thinking I need to expand the image somewhat to provide a better perspective, but you have saved me the bother:) Yes, it is an Antonov An-32:ok:

SincoTC has declared Open House

evansb 9th Dec 2011 17:52

Hey skytrain10, it is a jet turbine exhaust as it contributes to propulsion. I take it you meant not a pure jet?
