Lightning Mate 3rd May 2013 12:40

That will do nicely mate - see you tomorrow (today). :ok:

Noyade 3rd May 2013 20:22

Thanks mate, but heading to work now, so Open House.

Kitbag 11th May 2013 15:07

Wish you'd left that last challenge up I was going towards an early Hughes 500. Anyway, to get this thread back to the top have a look at this one:

NA B-45 Tornado?

Kitbag 12th May 2013 06:11

Indeed it is, you have control

Noyade 13th May 2013 00:30

Wish you'd left that last challenge up
Sorry Kitbag. It slunk to the bottom and then over to page 2 without a nibble of interest, so I pretended it never happened. Sometimes it's hard to assess the degree of interest in these sorts of threads. I will put if back when the situation allows.

Cheers mate.

Kitbag 13th May 2013 17:38

No worries, looking forward to its reappearance, probably need loads of time to work out what that ring of 'nozzles'? was for anyway :8

Noyade 14th May 2013 00:33

Not sure if eckhard is returning, so in the meantime...

what that ring of 'nozzles'? was for

Noyade 14th May 2013 09:13

Hughes UH1.
I'm sure you meant Bell?

It is indeed the Bell UH-1H in the "smoker" mission. Your control. :ok:

The engine looks like a Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6 so possibly the aircraft is a Pilatus PC-9.

Noyade 19th May 2013 09:03

Good morning Mel.

Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6
I believe so mate. Physically, the challenge machine is much bigger than the PC-9. Normally powered by a piston engine there were models powered by a turboprop.

MReyn24050 19th May 2013 10:18

From your statement

Normally powered by a piston engine there were models powered by a turboprop
I take it we are looking at a single engined aircraft. Howabout the DHC2 Beaver conversion?

Noyade 19th May 2013 10:51

Yes Mel, it is a single engine aircraft, Canadian and from De Havilland, but not the Beaver....

evansb 19th May 2013 12:31

The DHC-3 Turbine Otter then? http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7012/6...774b49c2_z.jpg

Noyade 19th May 2013 12:43

That's the one Brian. Your control. :ok:
