The engine looks like a Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6 so possibly the aircraft is a Pilatus PC-9.

I believe so mate. Physically, the challenge machine is much bigger than the PC-9. Normally powered by a piston engine there were models powered by a turboprop.

From your statement I take it we are looking at a single engined aircraft. Howabout the DHC2 Beaver conversion?

Yes Mel, it is a single engine aircraft, Canadian and from De Havilland, but not the Beaver....
