More like General Douglas MacArthur..

RegDep 11th Oct 2011 19:13

I thought I was Sylvester Stallone, but then I remembered my corn cob pipe.

I can't make it out from that photo, so could you clarify where the engine is mounted? Merci.

RegDep 11th Oct 2011 21:56

Under the wing, Jake.

Lightning Mate 12th Oct 2011 07:23

Afterburning......

Tupolev?

RegDep 12th Oct 2011 08:41

Morning Mate :)

Tupolev?
The opposite of….

Lightning Mate 12th Oct 2011 08:50

Opposite ? Opposite ?.....

At first I thought it might be the Tu144.

Doesn't look like the Rolls-Royce/Snecma Olympus 593 as in Concorde though, but I suppose it might be......

RegDep 12th Oct 2011 08:54

Did Concorde hustle with Tupolevs?

Lightning Mate 12th Oct 2011 08:57

Must be American then.

B-58? :\

RegDep 12th Oct 2011 08:58

Sure, Mate. The Hustler.

Over to you :ok:

Lightning Mate 12th Oct 2011 09:03

Good grief!!!!

I was going to OH because of limited monitoring time this morning.

However, to stop boredom......

RegDep 12th Oct 2011 11:38

Not boring at all.

Not even need a borescope.

Aero L-39 Albatros

Lightning Mate 12th Oct 2011 14:12

All yours Reg. :ok:

RegDep 12th Oct 2011 16:02

Thanks Mate!

Next. A bit small but making it bigger takes quality down, so take it as it is.

Kitbag 12th Oct 2011 20:52

Is it a turboshaft exhaust?

RegDep 13th Oct 2011 05:56

No, Kitbag, it is not.

Noyade 13th Oct 2011 09:09

The tailpipe appears to be almost resting on the ground?

RegDep 13th Oct 2011 09:16

Yes, it is resting on the ground, on top of a half-rotten piece of wood.

Correction: It is close the ground, but the piece of wood is behind it.

Lightning Mate 13th Oct 2011 09:20

Very interesting Reg.

I see a divergent exhaust, so guessing it isn't a jet at all.

Another type of propulsion system?

RegDep 13th Oct 2011 09:20

20/20 vision Mate. Not a jet.

More interesting than mainstream challenge. Testing the thread limits :hmm:
