The aircraft is at Tayoltita in Mexico and belongs to the Corporación de Aeronáutica de Transportes airline (C.A.T) which was founded early in 1929 by a Los Angeles banker and private pilot, Theodore Hull...

Note that most of the models produced were tandem open-cockpit versions, and did not have wheel fairings.

Noyade 19th Oct 2013 19:29

Another Mexican?

evansb 19th Oct 2013 20:41

Not Mexican, but in the Western Hemisphere.

Put me in mind of a Heybag - but, of course, that's a biplane. Looking through that aircraft's Profile, led me to its fellow competitor for Air Ministry Specification B19/27, the Fairey Hendon. OH, I'm afraid if I'm right as it's bed time in the Central Time Zone.

Noyade 31st Oct 2013 06:30

Yes, the Hendon. :ok:

OPEN HOUSE.

TheiC 1st Nov 2013 21:42

Taking everything at face value... If my Egyptian Arabic was half as good as heshamh's English, I'd be content.

Masaa el kheer, heshamh. Is this aircraft related to the Douglas line at all?

Kieron Kirk 2nd Nov 2013 10:47

The rather distinctive fin suggests Consolidated/Vultee ?

Ciarain.

Lightning Mate 5th Nov 2013 07:47
