Sorry to cause grief.

I'm not putting anything on "Challenge" because monitoring two threads just becomes a pain. It can also be slower than a snail.

PS - you and I will have the same age in two weeks. I'm still trying to make a decision.

SincoTC 1st Apr 2012 11:52

Right, here we go, another bipe!

:eek::eek:...............

Lightning Mate 1st Apr 2012 12:04

Radiator on the side/top ?

SincoTC 1st Apr 2012 12:08

That's the radiator you can see protruding above the top wing!

Edit2: I have now seen another photo with the radiator mounted on the underside of the upper wing (still on the centre-line)

The same pictute is on Breguets, but that's not where I got it, so you don't have to remember your password :)

Edit: I've made my decision :p!!

Lightning Mate 1st Apr 2012 12:27

Wossat?

Are you at work today?

SincoTC 1st Apr 2012 12:38

Not AT work today, but I'll continue to work 'coz I enjoy it (and not paying NIC anymore, yipee), but I'm taking my state pension now rather than deferring it! I think that the benefit of a larger deferred pension later is outweighed by the risk of snuffing it before you get that extra back, or any of what you've paid in for that matter in the worst case! :ugh:

Lightning Mate 1st Apr 2012 12:40

Couldn't agree more.

Just had a thought - this wouldn't be from the same site as the last on would it?

SincoTC 1st Apr 2012 12:48

I was surprise to find that the manufacturer isn't listed on Airwar, but I found and used the challenge picture on another Russian site!

Lightning Mate 1st Apr 2012 13:36

Got my Breguets Challenge password.

How do you get into the challenge thread?

SincoTC 1st Apr 2012 13:48

That always had me puzzled too; I thought you were the expert in searching there!!

Here you go, I'll be generous, it's one of the 999 or so entries on this index page, happy hunting :)!!

Aeroplanes 1914 - 1918* -* Breguet's Aircraft Challenge* --

Lightning Mate 1st Apr 2012 14:28

Thanks mate.

I can get the first 99 but if I try to go futher I get "Access Denied".

Working on it.................:ugh::ugh::ugh:

Lightning Mate 1st Apr 2012 14:43

A hunch said 'start at the top end'. :)

Sablatnig N.1

SincoTC 1st Apr 2012 14:54

Your hunch paid off :D and you've found the picture, however, it's actually the Sablatnig C.1 (The N.1 was a later fighter development and the "or" given on the caption) according to the more detailed description and photos here:

Sablatnig C.I/C.II/N.I

Lightning Mate has control :ok:

Lightning Mate 1st Apr 2012 14:58

All I could was quote the type number on Breguets'.

Are you staying around mate?

I have a menu again.................one from each sleeve.:)

SincoTC 1st Apr 2012 15:01

Are you staying around mate?
For the time being I am, but I'm quite busy about the house and I may have to go out this evening, awaiting a phone call :(!

Go on surprise me :)

Lightning Mate 1st Apr 2012 15:04

OK.

1. The very old and slow one which you seem to want to avoid or...

2. A modern rotary wing.

Can't you afford a housekeeper?:E

SincoTC 1st Apr 2012 15:12

Let's have the oldie then!

Can't you afford a housekeeper?
Yes, but I'd never be able to find anything afterwards !!

Lightning Mate 1st Apr 2012 15:16

OK.

This thing is all over the internet....

Yes, but I'd never be able to find anything afterwards http://images.ibsrv.net/ibsrv/res/sr...milies/eek.gif!!
Maybe a smooth-talking fighter pilot could help you out there..............
