That's the one, TC!!!!! Another in my line of modified Cubs! Trevor has CONTROL

It does mention a lower wing, which is what he first said, but I guess there must be other references, maybe in Air Pictorial or similar, I'm busy at the moment and there aren't many about, so I'll wait and see if RR turns up and says what is is!

A sesquiplane in my book! - the lower wing being smaller than the upper!

Morning Martin :),

A good challenge mate, pretty damned elusive!! I don't think I'd have found it without Bri's photo, but as he's either  now or Clam worrying, I'll put one up in a moment"

'Ere tiz then,

Looks a bit like the Gourdou-Leseurre GL-832 HY.

A good start mate.

SincoTC 31st Mar 2012 11:18

First impressions are that it's Werner von Braun's manned A-4 Rocket ??

Edit: maybe the A-6

Lightning Mate 31st Mar 2012 11:31

Well, I did say it was easy (goes off to prepare another one).

Back to you mate. :ok:

SincoTC 31st Mar 2012 11:35

(goes off to prepare another one)
Ditto :\:\, still sleeveless :(!! Back soon

Lightning Mate 31st Mar 2012 11:36

...........

SincoTC 31st Mar 2012 11:54

A bit scruffy, but it's quite old!!

Lightning Mate 31st Mar 2012 12:10

I know the feeling..........

Radial or inline? Two-seater?

SincoTC 31st Mar 2012 12:34

Well, judging by that stack, I'd say probaly an inline by our favourite manufacturer, but I have no information other than it's German, a one off and it's year and role

Edit, I see you've spruced up now with that hair-cut, so not so scruffy :)! Yes it's a two-seater

Lightning Mate 31st Mar 2012 12:40

That well set back tailplane and the fin/rudder shape is classic Albatros, but that's about all.

a one off

...oh bugger - off again.......

Lightning Mate 31st Mar 2012 13:02

I'll hazard a guess that it's intended role was recce.

SincoTC 31st Mar 2012 13:15

Nope,

It's role was a side-by-side trainer!

Edit: been digging a bit and it was powered by a Mercedes D II
