Morning skwinty!

A technical question (which assumes that this is a tandem two-seater): are you sure that the protuberance in the first cockpit (behind what I think is the windscreen) is part of the a/c, or could it be part of the building behind? How about the second one between the cockpits?

skwinty 6th Sep 2011 07:04

Morning RegDep,

The angular protuberance is the eave of the building in the background.

The vertical protuberance is part of the aircraft.

I see now that I have omitted to show the glass windscreen for the aft cockpit.

Hope that helps.

RegDep 6th Sep 2011 07:10

Thanks - it clarifies it, I hope it helps, too :\.

Pretty much sweep in the wings…….

skwinty 6th Sep 2011 07:16

The shadow of the wings shows a sweep due to the angle of the sun and the slope of the aircraft.

The wings are not swept.:ok:

RegDep 6th Sep 2011 07:40

Pierre Clostermann designed one aircraft when in Brazil. Would this be it?

Noyade 6th Sep 2011 07:47

That pic Reg is a s big as a postage stamp on this monitor!

Mitsubishi Betty??

Noyade 6th Sep 2011 08:42

pc fixed.
It was 10 years old. Should I just buy another one?

(I have no e-mail service Reg...)

RegDep 6th Sep 2011 08:49

Graeme, good to have you back.

The picture is small, a bit like a large stamp on my screen.

And yes, it is Mitsubishi Betty, or more exactly, Mitsubishi G4M2e Model 24 Tei.

Special version for the transport of the ramming attack bomb plane Kugisho/Yokosuka MXY-7 Ohka ("Baka") Model 11, conversions of G4M2a Models 24 Otsu and 24 Hei. Had armour protection for the pilots and fuselage fuel tanks.

The Ohka/Baka is the smudge below it.

Over to you Graeme!

(No e-mail, I think we are in the clear for the current one, and you have a couple of days to get one :ok:)

Noyade 6th Sep 2011 08:49

My neighbour just informed me that by holding down Ctrl and scrolling up, the text will enlarge...amazing!

He now informs me that he would like me to leave his house....

RegDep 6th Sep 2011 08:52
